How does eCongo work?
eCongo is an ecommerce platform for individuals and businesses to sell goods. Whether it is a pre manufactured product or home made (by hand) it can be sold on this platform.
Is it free to sign up?
Yes it is totally free to register as a user, or register as a seller (Vendor)
Is there an age restriction on selling?
Yes, on the “My Account” page you must verify that you are 18 or above.
I registered as a User/Vendor and Logged out, Why can i not find my password to login?
As eCongo holds private data we must ensure it is protected. So, when you first registered an automatic email would have been sent to your inbox (Also check your spam folder) this is to set a New Password. All you need do is follow the link in that email. When you have done that and go to “My Account” page. Put in your email address and your new password.
I did not get an automated email to set my New Password?
Don’t worry, simply contact us with your full name, we will then create a temporary password for you and email it to you. Once logged in you can change your password in the “My Account” page settings or your Vendor dashboard. Click HERE to contact us.
Are there any seller charges?
Yes, However in order to keep eCongo competitive with other online platforms we do take a small percentage in order to cover our running costs. Compared to the other larger platforms we are much lower in order for the seller to make a higher profit margin.
What are the charges?
The final selling charge on all products is 10%. Additional fees are paid by the seller (Vendor) per item. The merchant provider will charge additional fees. These fees are nothing to do with eCongo, these are the set amounts set out by “Square” as merchant provider for sellers. Please click HERE to see how the “Square” fees are accumulated. The general transaction fees are 1.4% of the total transaction plus £0.25pence. In total the final transaction fees will be 11.4% plus £0.25p. These are lower than other major selling platforms.
Who pays the postage fees?
When the User adds a product to there basket a list of options for shipping will be available on the check out page. The User will select the required postage which is their prefered option. The postage is calculated on each product via weight and product dimensions. Vendors MUST use the required shipping method. The User will pay for the shipping. When you receive your Vendor commissions you will also receive the shipping cost as you are responsible to pay the shipping cost up front. You do get this money back as it is included in your commission payouts.
When do i get paid?
Payments or “Commissions” are done by a manual system.
Once you have put your banking details into your dashboard we will send out payments manually once the funds have cleared. This is usually within a few days of the sale. Please keep some monies back in case of disputes.
How do i fill in the banking details information?
Payments will be paid by bank transfer to your bank account. simply fill in the fields in your Dashboard as follows:
- In the BANK ACCOUNT NAME: Use the name on your back account
- In the BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER: Use the 8 digit numbers from your card or from your banking App.
- In the BANK NAME: This is the bank you use, e.g. Halifax, Barclays, Monzo, Tide etc…
- In the Sort Code: put in your sort code.
- Leave the rest of the boxes blank and press “Save Settings”.
How important are the weight and Shipping Class?
These are very important. As we supply automated shipping labels to the sellers (Vendors) it is very important you can provide as much information as possible. Buyer satisfaction is very important so to reduce none delivery of items please provide all of the information for the listing. This is the WEIGHT & SIZE DIMENSIONS for each product. Without these your listing will show the wrong shipping options. A list of Shipping Classes are available when you list a product, for example: (Royal Mail second class Large Letter, Evri Small Parcel and Parcel Force Express 48)

I tried listing a product but could not find a suitable catagory.
If you cannot find the correct catagory for a product it is not problem, simply assign the product under “No Catagory” and we will set it to the direct directory for you. If the product has not been put into the correct directory please email us infoecongohelp@gmail.com
Why is there a link to another Dashboard when I am in my Dashboard?
If you are registered as a user (Buyer) then everything you need to see is on you’re dashboard. However if you are a seller (Vendor) the the Vendors dashboard allows sellers to see their products, sales and other important information. Whether you are a buyer or seller we feel it is very important for you to be able to keep track of things while using eCongo.
Are there any government regulations in regards to selling if I am not a registered business?
Yes, Anyone selling online MUST provide certain information for tax purposes. You can read these guidelines using the following link https://www.gov.uk/guidance/selling-goods-or-services-on-a-digital-platform or click HERE to view the regulations in brief.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU FILL IN YOUR PAYPAL DETAILS IN THE VENDOR DASHBOARD. Settings>Payouts>PayPal/Bank Transfer. You will not receive any money unless you fill in these details as part of our automated payout system.
Where do i go to Logout?
Go to the “My Account” tab and click on it. Then in the first line of text in the coloured box you will see “Logout”.
My music downloads won’t list?
All product types can only be listed if they fill the weight and dimension criteria. Once you have uploaded the audio file you are selling, make sure you go to>Shipping then in weight put “0” Zero. Also fill in the size fields LxWxH as “0” Zero. Under the “Shipping type” just select ” No Shipping Class”. Once buyers have placed their order an option to download is on the basket page. The buyer will be automatically get a link to download the music.
I want buyers to pick up my products rather than use delivery. How do I set this?
Just like all the product types the shipping options are based on wight and dimensions. Fill in the product weight and size. Under the “Shipping type” just select ” No Shipping Class”. This will automate the system to offer contact the vendor for pick up on the Basket Page. The buyer can then email you for the details of your Address after purchase.Make sure you state clearly on the listing that delivery of the item is NOT available.
