It is the sole responsibility of the seller (Vendor) to fullfil the the postage/shipment of all items they sell. eCongo have no responsibility for covering the shipping for any product.
At the point of sale we have provided shipping options for the buyer to select that are appropriate to items weight and size. If the buyer chooses one of those options it is the seller (Vendors) responsibility to fullfil the order using the postage courier selected.
Postage/shipping is not an add on extra for any seller (Vendor) to make extra income. Please use the method that has been paid for.
In order to ensure we keep sellers (Vendors) safe from fraudulent claims regarding none delivery of items please ensure you use the following guidelines when sending an item:
- Photograph the item with its packaging and a piece of paper with the date and buyers name. (Optional)
- Once the item is packaged take a second photograph with date and buyers name. (optional but does add an extra level of proof)
- Once the postage label is on the packaging take a third photograph, this does not need the name or date on it. Ensure the photograph is clear and all details of the delivery name, date, address are clear.
How do I send the pictures to the buyer?
Go to Dashboard>orders. In the orders section the last column is “Actions”. In the actions section select the link “Add note and Images” from the list on the right hand side.
Use the following link https://snipboard.io to turn your images into a link that you can send to the buyer.
Follow the onscreen instruction in Snipboard to create your URL. The first picture is for Mac Users, the second is for WIndows.
In the case of any disputes we can use these details as proof of postage/shipping. It will then be up to the buyer to persue compensation from the courier service. As most company’s will offer compensation up to £20.00 for the smaller items.
As s seller (Vendor) if we find you are purposely mis-using or not actually sending out parcels by the use of fake postage labels, we will shut down your account and you will be passed over to the authorities in breach of contract, failing to supply goods and fraudulent practices within a business. All seller (Vendor) complaints will be monitored and if we believe there is a higher volume of complaints we shut your account down until we investigate the issues.
We have no tolerance for underhanded tactics, cheating or abusing the UK laws and principals. We will without predjudice or mallice assist any lawful body with information of any seller (Vendor) who breach our rules.
Any buyer found to be acting in a fraudulent way will be held accountable to the same rules, reported and accounts will be deleted.
